Old man gets rescued from a burning building through the balcony by three brave men.
We hear heroes from comic books, webtoons and movies but the real life heroes are just around us. It could be a policeman buying a homeless man food, or a street vendor retuning a lost wallet. Oftentimes they go about their lives doing the best they can to make the world a better place. So here’s another story of those heroes and you should probably grab your seats, because this one will surely keep you on the edge of it.
It was in Montereau-Fault-Yonne, France, back in April 2020, a fire had started in a seven-story building trapping an old man in his balcony. The building was thick with smoke and the elderly man was obviously having a difficulty to breathe, so he leans his head out of the balcony, gasping for air. Residents who were able to run out called for help but unfortunately it would take some time before they can get there.
Luckily, a group of men did not hesitate to scale up the building to save the old man who was leaning out from the third story balcony. The piled up some trashcans to get a boost and then proceeded to climb the walls.
The men were identified as Dombaev Dzhambulat, Ouloubaev Aslan and Ahmedov Muhsinjon who were Russian in decent but was staying in France for quite some time.
Dombaev was the first one to rush up and climbed to the adjacent balcony as he reached out for the old man. However, the old man was too scared to come near so climbed up the old man’s balcony and lifted him up. His friends climbed up too and together the trio was able to bring the man to the adjacent balcony and wait for the firefighters come get them.
Dombaev said (with the help of his wife who translated for him), “I was doing gymnastics in Square Beaumarchais when I saw smoke coming from a neighboring building.”
Ouloubaev also said in a statement, “I saw an old person in the wrong and I did not hesitate to climb. I was not afraid because it is not the first time that I have rescued people.”
Dombaev Dzambulat said in an interview with Tellerreport, “Everyone asked me the question, but I did not have time to be afraid, I had to go.” Firefighters had already arrived by the time they managed to place the old man to safety.
