LOYAK KAPAMILYA STARS WHO HAVE BEEN WITH ABS-CBN FOR DECADES
Since ABS-CBN failed to renew their network franchise last year, many Kapamilya Stars shifted to another rival TV networks while some remain loyal to their homegrown network. Some of these ex Kapamilya stars experienced being criticized like calling them as “ingrato or walang utang na loob sa ABS-CBN” while some who shifted are reasonable and understandable.
Below is the list of active Kapamilya Stars that have an on-going project or set to do a project with ABS-CBN soon. You may be wondering with some stars on the list because they shifted back and forth to ABS-CBN and other TV networks, while some were with ABS-CBN but accept projects from other TV networks.
Judy Ann Santos
Judy is with ABS-CBN for 28 years and she is one of the longest-staying Kapamilya stars. She started with ABS-CBN in 1992 and her first appearance was in a soap opera MARA CLARA. Mara Clara is just the beginning of Judy Ann’s career in ABS-CBN, because after that she appeared in more than 15 TV shows and 15 Star Cinema Films where she played most of the leading roles.
Nikki is with ABS-CBN for almost 27 years as she first starred in the sitcom of Home Along Da Riles in year 1993 and later become one of the new cast of Gimik in 1999. Nikki is one of the promising and in-demand star of ABS-CBN and until now she is still faithful and loyal to her homegrown network.
Martin is one of the original performer of ABS-CBN’s ASAP, a musical variety show that has been running on-air for almost 25 years since February 5, 1995.
Despite the shutdown of ABS-CBN last year, Angelica remain loyal with her homegrown network. She is with ABS-CBN for almost 25 years and her first major supporting role is a Star Cinema Film, Sarah Ang Munting Prinsesa, where she played betty the bestfriend of the leading role Sarah that was played by Camille Prats.
Dominic is with ABS-CBN for almost 24 years when he started in Gimik, ABS-CBN’s teen oriented drama series in 1996. Dominic is the first matinee idol that was groomed by ABS-CBN.
Shaina is with ABS-CBN for almost 23 years when she first starred in ABS-CBN’s comedy series, Kaybol: Ang Bagong TV in 1997 and later became one of the cast of a Marinella, a drama series in 1999.
Just like Shaina Magdayao, Jericho is with ABS-CBN for 23 years when he also joined the comedy series Kaybol: Ang Bagong TV and Esperanza. After starring in several supporting roles, Jericho subsequently landed in major roles including the top rated primetime drama, Pangako Sayo, together with Kristine Hermosa, his former screen partner.
Jodi Sta. Maria
Jodi joined the ABS-CBN talent agency in 1997 and she was only 15 then which make her the youngest member of Star Magic Batch 1997. Jodi is one of the most in-demand and busiest star of ABS-CBN as she appeared in numerous shows such as Pangako Sayo in 2000 and her remarkable work is the 2012 hit Be Careful with My Heart.
The Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo is with ABS-CBN for almost 17 years as she first starred as the young Cielo of It Might Be You in 2003 and receive her first main role in Super Inggo as Maya, the love interest of the main character Inggo.
After hosting the news parody show Wazzup Wazzup in 2004, Toni officially became a Kapamilya Star after transferring in 2005 which mark her 15 years in ABS-CBN last 2020. She became a successful host, recording artist and movie star after transferring to ABS-CBN.
Kim is with ABS-CBN for almost 14 years when she emerged as the big winner of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition. Kim is one of the premiere stars groomed by ABS-CBN. Kim became successful in her acting career, endorsements and recording.
